The Diocesan Convention will take place on Thursday, March 7th and Saturday, March 9th, 2024. We are looking for three people interested in representing our parish at the convention. The March 7th meeting will be held via Zoom. The March 9th gathering will be at Washington College in Chestertown.

Funeral Service for Karen Culotta’s Father

  The funeral service for Dr. William Wright, Karen Culotta’s father,is scheduled for Saturday, January at the Old Wye Church in Wye Mills.


Please Plan to Help with the Books Café!

                              Opening earlier in the year than ever, the 2024 Books Café begins a five-weekend run on Friday, January 12th  and Saturday, January 13th at St. Luke’s. The event will be open each Friday and Saturday (not Sunday) for ten sale days until Feb. 10th, 10 am to 5 pm each day.

Volunteer cashiers are needed for three to four hour shifts each sale day.

ECW Members & Friends

The ECW also needs volunteers for the Café portion of the Books Café.


Children’s Corner

Join at 9 am this Sunday, January 7th and Sunday, January 21st, for Sunday School at 9 am at the Old Wye Church.

Revised Psalm Study Schedule – ALL ARE INVITED!

The Psalm Study initiated by Charlotte will continue on most Monday mornings from 10:00 – 11:30 in the OW Library.  All parishioners are warmly invited to join any session – we will be using the Psalter from the Book of Common Prayer, so just grab a Prayer Book from your shelf or a pew rack at STL or OWC and drop in: no homework required of anyone (except the volunteer session facilitator).


Quick Reaction Force, Inc. (QRF)

QRF needs our support, through donation of items needed for disaster victims in shelters, and for equipment to aid in search and rescue on disaster sites. Boxes are available in both our churches. First let me thank everyone for taking the time to read the following and thank you to everyone who helped Haven Ministries last year!!

Haven Ministries Shelter opened October 1, 2023. There are 10 beds available.

For those who volunteer, I will reach out to you several days in advance and let you know the number of guests. Maximum amount is 12 (plan for 10 guests)
