Word to the Wyes 3/4/21

Collect for the Third Sunday in Lent
Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

This Sunday, March 7
8 am in-person service of Holy Communion – St. Luke’s Chapel
10 am service of Holy Communion – in-person and Facebook live – Old Wye
We ask members and guests attending in-person to please wear facemasks.

Birthday blessings to Sue Kirchner and Lane Cole.

Warmest regards in Christ,
Reverend Charlie

Haven Ministries - Hope Through Shelter, Clothing & Food  Haven Ministries
In 2020, approximately 240 individuals were assisted from Haven Ministries’ Our Daily Thread thrift store and the Hope Warehouse and over 700 items were distributed with a value of $15,000.
Haven Ministries also provides the only emergency shelter in the entirety of Queen Anne’s County that serves men, women and children. Along with providing the life necessities of safety, food and personal care, clients are offered support services through trained case managers that will move them toward safe, affordable and permanent housing. Thank you to all members who volunteer at Haven Ministries and especially to Haven Ministries board member Rick Culotta.
